The 2022 2^nd International Conference on Smart Grid and Energy Internet (SGEI 2022) has successfully held an online meeting on October 21-23, 2022.The Fifth Session of the 13th National People's Congress opened at the Great Hall of the People on 5th March 2022. The report discussed a number of energy-related topics, such as carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, eco-environmental protection, energy use, etc. According to the report, China will take well-ordered steps to achieve peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality. The action plan for peaking carbon emissions will be put into effect. To advance China’s energy revolution and ensure energy supply, China will, based on its resource endowment, push forward the transformation toward low-carbon development, in accordance with overall planning and the principle of establishing the new before abolishing the old. China will work harder to make coal usage cleaner and more efficient, while reducing the use of coal and replacing it with alternative energy sources in a well-ordered way. China will work to upgrade coal-fired power plants to conserve resources, reduce carbon emissions, make operations more flexible, and upgrade heating facilities.

Under such condition, the organizer, AEIC as a link in the field of scientific research, will gather experts and scholars and engineering technicians in the fields of  smart grids and energy internet around the world under the same roof. Jointly promote research progress in this field. 

In this meeting, 3 experts and scholars in power and energy shared the theme report, and 4 participants made a brief oral report. A total of 60 people attended the meeting.
